Land of Dreams

‘Land of Dreams’ takes place in the near future in a small town in America. Simin is an Iranian immigrant who works for US Census Bureau, which has begun a programme to record citizens’ dreams. Unaware of the American government’s plot, Simin’s personal obsession is to try to capture her interviewees’ dreams by photographing and later impersonating them in Farsi on social media. Playful and poignant, ‘Land of Dreams’ acknowledges in a surreal and satirical way, the greatness of the American experiment while offering a warning beacon for what could come.
